FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Today, the West Virginia Faith & Freedom Coalition (WVFFC) released the following statement praising the election of Congressman Mike Johnson (R-La.) as Speaker of the United States House of Representatives.

“During his time in Congress, Rep. Johnson has demonstrated a clear commitment to faith and the Judeo-Christian values on which our country was founded. During the early stages of the COVID pandemic, Rep. Johnson led a conference call with Rep. Alex Mooney (R, W.Va.) to educate and inform West Virginia pastors of CARES Act funds available for churches, which he spearheaded during the legislative process. We look forward to his continued commitment to time-honored values, stronger families, and individual freedoms. Now that the House has a Speaker, it is time to get back to work and tackle the many challenges facing the nation including a crisis at our southern border, record inflation, a mounting national deficit, attacks on our global allies, and more.”
