Faith & Freedom Coalition Surpasses 3 Million Doors in Battleground States
Today, the Faith & Freedom Coalition announced that its paid canvassers and volunteers have already knocked on the doors of 3 million homes in the 2024 battleground states as of this past weekend. The ground game project is on pace to reach 4 million doors by this weekend (weather permitting, as a storm is bearing down on the Southeastern U.S., potentially affecting teams in Georgia and North Carolina), and 10 million homes by November 5.
Faith & Freedom has deployed 10,000 paid canvassers and volunteers in the key 2024 battleground states. It continues to add staff and volunteers in every state every day. It is the largest deployment of personnel on the ground to turn out voters of faith in the history of the organization. The home visit program is designed to interact with low-propensity voters of faith and help them develop a plan to vote, with a push to vote early by mail or in person. In addition to the 10 million home visits, Faith & Freedom Coalition will make 10 million volunteer get-out-the-vote calls, send 24 million GOTV text messages with a link to its voter guides, and distribute 30 million voter guides in more than 100,000 churches.
Ralph Reed, founder and chairman of Faith & Freedom, said his organization is confident it will achieve its goal of turning out 3-4 million additional evangelical and conservative Christian voters compared to 2020:
“We are seeing unprecedented enthusiasm and intensity among our volunteers and the voters of faith with whom they are interacting. It is greater than we saw in 2016 or 2020,” said Reed.
“These voters are coming, and they are coming in historic numbers. That is more important than polls that replicate voter turnout models from past elections that may or may not apply in 2024. This election is effectively tied in every battleground state, and this kind of voter education and turnout operation could be the difference. The premature reports of the inadequacy of the conservative ground game in 2024 are greatly exaggerated.”
